A highly romanticised telling of Australia's most famous outlaw, handsomely photographed by Oliver Stapleton with a bevy of solid performances, lead by Heath Ledger in the title role. Gregor Jordan's film is an overall engaging affair, without being exceptional, that reaches an exciting and emotive climax.
