Review of Near Dark (1987) by Paul J — 02 Aug 2008
Kathryn Bigelow's highly unique Vampire film is a clever blending of horror film and the Western. I grew up watching this cult classic and there's nothing quite like it. Ultimately, it's nothing remarkable but I appreciate Bigelow's re-invention of a myth.
Paxton's "finger lickin' good" scene is a highlight. Interestingly, three cast members must have come from, her then-Husband, James Cameron (a year after Aliens.).
