Review of Near Dark (1987) by Adam K — 03 Dec 2009
One of the most original and intensley entertaining vampire films ever made, given that only a few have ever really succeeded. its female protagonist has charm, while her surrounding characters have wit, and her male counterpart plays the heartthrob country boy perfectly.
it carries a western feel to it, with undertones of neo noir and road films. it takes the american vampire and turns them into criminalistic figures that provide wit and edge to its blooming plot.
