Review of Natural City (2003) by Thomas M — 29 Mar 2009

This high budget Korean sci-fi action movie is always associated with Blade Runner, and rightfully so. It's almost a remake, so it loses points in the originality department. The hero is also a total a-hole, so it's hard to root for him as the film progresses.

But where it lacks on the intangibles, the visuals, the production, the action sequences...superb! I liked the pacing, too, which although is the norm in Korea (apparently), was a little different and refreshing for an American viewer like myself.

I recommend this one mostly for the futuristic sci-fi goers.
