Review of National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002) by Misha K — 23 Jan 2010
This is your typical National Lampoon movie with nudity and bathroom humor. But what makes it work is the performance from Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds plays a student who is big man on campus and just does not want to graduate.
But between his father and the new girl he likes he must decide what he wants to do with his life. Of course in between all this he must help his friends and get revenge on his enemies. Reynolds is very funny in this.
I did find many funny scenes in this. I got some good laughs. Now the humour is quite crude at times but again is typical of a National Lampoon film. But this is one of their better comedies they have brought out in awhile.
Worth checking out if your a Ryan Reynolds fan.
