Review of National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002) by Guido S — 18 Feb 2014
Ryan Reynolds is a college student in his 7th year and has no intentions of leaving. He has carved out his own way of doing things to upset professors and administration. His father is upset that he has no plans to graduate, so he must fund his own tuition and needs a way to raise money.
A fraternity of socially awkward students want him to throw a party for them and he obliges. A school reporter is following him to get the story of him and leaks that he did the party so now he has plenty of requests to plan others to raise money.
Things don't go well when the boyfriend of the reporter finds out she's been hanging out with WIlder and tries to sabotage one of the parties by bringing in kids. This movie is pretty good, not as great as I remember but still pretty funny and enjoyable.
Sadly, one of the few roles Reynolds will always be remembered for.
