Review of Nashville (1975) by Andrew G — 10 Aug 2007
I can't really say why I love this movie so much, being about the country music business in the 70's, but Altmans ensemble cast style is pure giddiness to watch. He weaves all the characters into a free flowing whirlpool of dazed events, that has that crowded feeling that Fellini movies have.
And something about the end with "the show must go on mentality" chokes me up everytime. The best kind of movies are the ones that get better everytime you watch them, and this is definitly one.
