It's hard to believe this was made in 1975 - it seems remarkably topical and seems to foreshadow things that happened after the movie was made. I don't know how much altman has influenced p.t. anderson but some of anderson's movies are similar to this - namely "boogie nights" and "magnolia".
lots of different story lines that converge at the end. a long movie but I think if you like these kinds of movies you'll enjoy it.
