Review of Nashville (1975) by Peter P — 14 Jul 2011
I grappled considerably with the idea of publishing this review. I am not a film maker, nor an astute critic, yet felt it necessary to speak my piece. This movie is terrible. I'm baffled by the endless praise it has received from the critics.
It was so boring, I fell asleep twice. I actually had to get up and brew a pot of coffee to summon the will power and finish what I had started. It's a concert DVD, at best. There's about 10 songs written and performed by actors, none of whom impressed on either front.
Moreover, none of the characters are even developed enough for you to care about them. It's neither plot nor character driven, which leads me to question, what is driving this story and why should I care about it?
