Review of Narc (2002) by Stephen R — 26 Jun 2007
For a genre movie, this is about as good as you can expect. And that's not demeaning the movie. This takes a standard cop film and does it well, injecting a lot of humanity, a rough aesthetic, and some powerful, powerful performances.
Ray Liotta goes all the way in this one, putting on weight and oozing charisma. Jason Patric downplays his part and it works as an effective counterpoint to Liotta. A really good movie, but not for the faint at heart.
