Review of Narc (2002) by Drew H — 31 Dec 2007
Some nice directorial touches couldn't really lift this corrupt cop thriller out of the cliches of the genre which played out as planned before feeling a bit contrived with the way they kept throwing in twist and twist so that it wouldn't be the same as other genre films.
In the end there is a level of grittiness in the film and it's shot well. Unfortunately it all felt a bit average and done a hundred times before. It was okay but it lacked the power of Training Day which was more interesting, gave a better feel for its location and had better performances.
