Review of Nappily Ever After (2018) by Leroy J — 21 Sep 2018
Thought provoking.. reminded me of the black romantic comedies of the 90s.. better than expected.. new on Netflix.. not everyone gonna get this movie.. but, I'm personally tired of the world and tv telling me what is beautiful.
. and who my heros should be when they ain't even telling me our true history if you ain't looking deeply for yourself.. like black women don't have enough pressure on them just being black in America.
. the movie points out how liberating it is to love yourself and accept yourself for who you are instead of trying to live up to someone else standards..
