Review of Nappily Ever After (2018) by Sapu C — 23 Sep 2018
Not sure why everyone's so salty about this film but it's honestly wonderful. It's the first time I've seen a film tackle the issues that come with hair management and stigma for black girls and women; being bound to our hair and expectations, embarassed by it.
The film isn't PERFECT but it was honestly uplifting for me, someone who could relate and ended up going through a similar process with my hair when enough was enough.
