Review of My Sister's Keeper (2009) by Lauren Y — 14 May 2013
Although I would give the book 5 stars, the movie is a cliched adaptation of the deeply moving novel. The director relies on cheap theatrics and melodrama to move the story, and ultimately, the film completely misses the point of the story by replacing the heart that characterized the book with a fairytale ending that contained absolutely no substance.
