I don't quite get the harsh reviews of this. I'll be honest, this is not my genre and I haven't read the book. However, I found it beautiful, moving and could place myself in each character's position which is to me a sign of a good movie.
The storyline is strong and (call me naive) I didn't rumble the ending until it happened. Joan Cusack is outstanding as usual.
