Review of My Sister's Keeper (2009) by Kevin S — 31 Mar 2014
This is the story about a girl who has a sister that has cancer and was only made to help out her sister by giving blood and other things from her body and now her mother wants her to donate her kidney to her dying sister.
Now the girl wants to be medically emancipated and sues her parents. The acting was pretty good. Cameron Diaz was pretty good here. She gave a pretty good performance. Alec Baldwin was great and certain parts he was funny.
To me the best was from joan cusack who gave a exceptionally good performance. She too had some comical scenes expecially when they are in court. The one part bothered me though and that was the sex scene between the sick girl and a sick boy who she fell in love with.
I just thought with their situation being serious it was not apropiate and they were not taking it serious. Other than that it was a decent movie. I wouldn't rush out to see it but would put it on your " want to see " list.
It's a sad heartfelt movie that is worth to see on a rainy day.
