This was a pretty good adventure in Equestria. In some ways it was stronger than Equestria Girls but in others less so. The best aspects of it were the name places and races contributing to the lore. The new characters were great.

The music was similarly good, especially the Sia song. The humor was pretty on point, rivaling anything else in the series. The more unfortunate aspects were that the characterization falls back to the most basic levels and the theme of the adventure being the archetypal generic friendship story.

Still worth the ride. The animation was beautifully three dimensional. The character faces close-ups were occasionally a bit awkward but overall the new style was a postive.
