Review of My Kid Could Paint That (2007) by Chris F — 26 Apr 2008
I really liked this movie- on the surface it is about a 4-year artist whose art fetches 5 figures per piece. The larger questions it so gracefully explores is what is art? How important is the story it tells, or about the artist who made it? How does art get its fiscal value? These questions are discussed by knowledgeable figure heads that really add value.
As if that werent enough- the film also raises questions about exploitation and a possible con job by a very likable family. Highly recommend, it is a movie I will think about again.
