Review of My Kid Could Paint That (2007) by Bradley H — 05 Jun 2012
The director successfully teases out the important questions posed by this story and offers some possible answers from different sources without ever clearly forcing a position on the audience. Why are we so obsessed with the "innocence of children" and "child prodigies"? Should you take the modern art world seriously? Does it really matter if the paintings are completely the work a four-year-old girl?
In addition, there are some nice leads in the film that point toward the connection between Epistemology/Cognition and Aesthetics.
