Review of My Beautiful Laundrette (1985) by Tim J — 02 Mar 2009
This hasn't aged terribly well, and Gordon Warnecke's acting is pretty awful, but Daniel Day-Lewis's isn't, and in lots of ways this is an interesting film about the divisions between right and left, and foreign and native in 1980s London.
The actor playing Salim also has a quite remarkable mullet, which I'm sure he's not terribly proud of these days.
