Review of Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) by Abdul-Aziz A — 11 Nov 2008
One of the most complete movies i've seen in a while. Contains comedy, suspense, drama, thriller and everything under the sun. Laughton plays Bligh to the utmost point that you might never want to see any of his movies again, he is that convincing.
Gable gives an honest performance as Fletcher who can't stand his captain anymore and decides to take matters into his own hands. Great supporting performances, you almost find the shipmates more interesting than the major characters.
Although this movie is not an accurate portrayal of what happened, it makses up with the entertainment factor.
