Review of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) by Shelby B — 18 Nov 2017
I hoped the movie would fully embrace the whimsical absurdity of Branagh's character and writing following the first five minutes of the movie, but, after a sudden tone change, what we get is the makings of a serious murder mystery that finds itself crumbles under a half baked plot.
The movie ends up becoming a long drawn out mess hidden behind big name actors and beautiful cinematography. Overall enjoyable, but underwhelming.
