Review of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) by Steve H — 21 Nov 2017

This beautifully filmed and intricately adapted and developed version of the classic Christie whodunnit is full of rich scenery and even richer character development, two aspects that set this version significantly above its star-studded but laboriously paced and intimately filmed 1974 adaptation. Although it gets to the same conclusion, this journey is far more enjoyable for the theater-going passengers of the mystery.

The plot ends up being a satisfying and poignant commentary on morality and justice that satisfyingly stimulates thought long after the film ends.
