Review of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) by Susan M — 12 Nov 2017
Do not go into this film trying to make any comparisons to the David Suchet or Albert Finney Poirot. This adaptation is frankly unique and different. Poirot has more perspective than prior depictions. The screenwriters bring the story line full circle and actually speak to human nature.
If you see this film with a different lens it is extremely enjoyable. Michelle Pfeiffer is wonderful and it is so great to see her back on the screen. Strong performances from a notable cast. It is cinematically beautiful and attention to detail worthy of any British production.
Don't listen to the critics and you won't be disappointed.
