Review of Murder, My Sweet (1944) by Irvin C — 07 Mar 2009
Dick Powell gives an excellent performance as Philip Marlowe, one of literature's and cinema's most famous private detectives in this really solid and classic film noir with murder, blackmail and a femme fatale (like all film noirs have).
The plot is sometimes confusing but Powell really keeps your attention. He may not be Bogart or Mitchum but that's like saying apples are not like oranges.
