Review of Mulberry Street (2006) by Dan B — 28 Sep 2009
Better than the schlocky and inaccurate title suggests (the DVD release has been prefixed with the words â??Zombie Virus Onâ?¦â??), this low budget street level horror makes excellent use of location and draws its characters from a more interesting pool than many other examples of the genre.
Unfortunately, the story itself isnâ??t up to much and the limited resources mean that the absence of convincing effects is disguised by quick edits and jerky camerawork in the action scenes. However, it is a worthy effort and neither you nor the filmmakers are disgraced if you happen to watch it.
