Before I could realize that this was a Nickelodeon film with such a kid-orientated theme that sounds like a piece of abortion that Eddie Murphy plays in nowadays, the film had already arrived in the mail and I was doomed to just get it over with.

Initially, the idea George Lopez being out of his element as a high-power laywer being put through hell at his daughter's scout/troop/whatever trip to the woods intrigued me. This is because George Lopez is one of my many guilty pleasures and, for some strange reason, I find him hilarious.

I was also intrigued by the film's director, William Dear, who's most notably known for Harry and the Henderson's, some slightly better children's movies (Angels in the Outfield), and the occasional campy horror film (Simon Says).

Jane Lynch (40-Year-Old Virgin, Role Models) even shows up as the hardass owner of the camp! The problem is all three of these elements could not produce an entertaining movie for BOTH kids and adults, or even adult children like myself.

Don't get me wrong, children are morons, so they will love being spoon-fed this drivel, but there's barely a laugh out of this film for anyone OVER 18 that doesn't like stuff like Hannah Moncrapa, Gonad Brothers, or High School Fagsical.

Towards the end of the film, I thought I was going to make it through without some awful obvious Nickelodeon ad placement, but sure enough, the Naked Brothers band showed up and I ended the film with a small seizure.
