Review of Mr. Church (2016) by David M — 19 Sep 2017
Amazing feel good movie. I'm pretty sure I know why the pro critics didn't like this movie. They are all typical Hollywood lefties. I'm a black man and I loved this movie. Lefties always feel like they should be politically correct, which means that black people have to be portrayed in a certain way.
Mistreated, angry, misunderstood, you know all the typical "New" stereotypes. This was simply a movie about love between some Americans who became a family. Bypassing all of the race crap that Hollywooders find absolutely necessary whenever there is a black person in a movie, especially with the starring role.
These critics are racist but are too full of themselves to see it. They wanted Mr. Murphy to be funny or slick or cool or pissed off. They don't understand that black people can be just people. Great movie.
Leave your "I know what it must be like to be black" crap and enjoy a great feel good movie without all the race crap.
