Review of Mouchette (1967) by Patrick F — 30 Dec 2008
I cannot help but feel utterly alienated after watching this film. It is about as tragic as a film can get, and yet, it is deliberately emotionless throughout. It creates this bizarre contradiction, and in the end may make it even more devastating.
Anyway, it's really good. I'll probably have to watch it again to further absorb it. After that, I foresee a higher rating.
