Review of Mouchette (1967) by James-Masaki R — 13 Nov 2010
Mouchette is a decent film which meanders a bit too much from one helpless situation to another. I understand that it is an attempt at minimalism, however, the story did not capture my imagination whatsoever.
Perhaps the idea behind the story was more fascinating and would make for a good philosophical discussion, yet the execution does not work.
