Review of mother! (2017) by Jack N — 26 Sep 2017

I found this movie to be absolutely brilliant, and have been trying to figure out why it has gotten such mixed reviews. It was marketed as a horror film, attracting that usual audience, but it's very much not that at all - it's an art piece (that maybe should not have gotten a wide release).

You have to go into this movie with an open mind, and willing to feel uncomfortable about deeply held beliefs. I look forward to watching this again in the future to discover pieces I may have missed the first time.

It's not what you are lead to believe.
