Review of mother! (2017) by Bowi — 25 May 2021
I cannot think of this film as anything other than an artistic object drawing its energy from violence against women. Black Swan was similar, but more tolerable. I liked Noah a lot though, and I'm not a Christian.
Honestly, I think the character of the artist is Darren Aronofsky. Either this man is psychologically amoral, or he is just plain immoral. What I mean by that is that it looks like this is a work of art "for the sake of art", which uses women to shock.
