Review of Morgan (2016) by Brett B — 20 Apr 2017
I watched uncomfortably through the first half or so of the movie. Watching a child in this kind of role is already disturbing, but when the "psych eval" scene came on, I turned it off and never finished.
This was not an interesting psychological evaluation of Morgan. It was purely to illicit a violent reaction for shock and awe. This was both dull/uninspired writing and upsetting at the same time.
I suppose I shouldn't have expected a quiet cerebral discovery of a new life form, but I was hopeful there'd be enough of that to counteract the obscene psychological and physical violence. I was wrong.
