Review of Moonraker (1979) by Mark O — 05 Jun 2008
Roger Moore's fourth outing as 007 is a rather disappointing affair full of silly 'comedy' moments, gadgets, and far-fetched plot twists. Richard Kiel's return as Jaws is not played to its full potential and the villain, played by Michael Lonsdale is a little too bland.
The outer space lazer battle is entertaining enough but by this point all credibility has been flushed out the nearest airlock. One positive aspect, however, is John Barry's wonderful score which captures the Bond spirit better than the actual film.
