Review of Moonraker (1979) by Simon T — 25 Nov 2017
Progressively awful Bond flick. The screenwriter Christopher Wood seems to have given up after twenty minutes and veteran director Lewis Gilbert is content to let through some painful in-jokes and a plethora of bad performances, not least Lois Chiles' stiff and asexual Holly Goodhead.
The special FX are shockingly poor, John Barry was obviously asleep. Only Michel Lonsdale as guest baddy seems to be enjoying himself.
