Review of Moonraker (1979) by Chris B — 26 Jul 2012

While considered one of the lesser of the Bond films, "Moonraker" is a rather funny and satirical look at the character and his mannerism. The whole film is filled with gadgets and nothing is as it seems which is what you want from a Bond film, at least one of the things.

Unfortunately the feel is a little too lighthearted and campy and has no soul because of it. If you love Bond you probably have your own favorite actor (I still have a tough time deciding) and a favorite flick out of the franchise so to each their own.

For me, it was an average film with overall nothing truly inventive or original to set it apart from the many others.
