Review of Monsters: Dark Continent (2014) by Grant V — 04 Jul 2016
Much like the first film, Dark Continent uses the aliens as an embodiment of human conflict and suffering. The Middle East is an alien land to most Americans in which we have been fighting an endless war because we fail to understand what it is we're fighting.
No amount of bombs or bullets can make the monsters go away and the people on both sides pay for it, which the film demonstrates at every step. Also it is shot beautifully and has powerful editing.
