Review of Monsieur Hulot's Holiday (1953) by Anthony D — 15 Feb 2009
Fun, nearly silent comeby. I think Rowan Atkinson owes a lot of credit to Tati, reminding me of Mr. Bean quite a bit. There's a slight edge to Tati's character that was not present in other great silent comedians like Chaplin or Keaton.
And a very cool jazz score to boot.
