Inspired adaptation of the Michael Lewis novel examines respected baseball manager Billy Beane's successful attempt to assemble a baseball team on a lean budget by employing computer-generated analysis to acquire new players.
Compelling, to be sure, but since the main character is hard to relate to, it leaves the film with a certain level of aloofness.
