Review of Mommie Dearest (1981) by Dan H — 24 Aug 2007
This movie is a camp classic. I think what makes "Mommie Dearest" a classic is that it was made as a drama. Everybody expected Faye Dunaway (who is awesome in the film) to win the Oscar and people to take the topic of child abuse seriously.
Think of this film as a comedy/cult classic and you'll love "Mommie Dearest." I also love the look at old Hollywood, a Hollywood that doesn't exist anymore.
