Review of Molly's Game (2017) by Kisa H — 22 Jan 2018
This is a film about a woman told for, by, and through men. The only woman with any presence in the movie is Molly, and all of the emotional, dramatic moments are given to MEN. Not her. She did something exceptional.
She IS exceptional. But this movie basically treats everything about her in relation to the men in her life. The violence scene made me nauseous and was completely unnecessary to be done in graphic detail like that.
