Review of Modern Times (1936) by Roman P — 27 Feb 2010
Charlie Chaplin's incomparable "Modern Times" is truly about the the nature of humans no matter what decade you happen to live in. This heartfelt comedy contains just as much social relevance today as it did in 1936.
It also helps that The Little Tramp is at the top of his game, not only in terms of his memorable performance, but also his directorial style. "Modern Times" may be Chaplin's most cinematically varied and assured work.
