Review of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016) by Mayank A — 08 Jan 2017

Really enjoyed this coming of age dark fantasy movie, it had an interesting original story to tell in the otherwise beaten up genre focused on dystopia, best part the way they went about telling it differently from the going trend to focus on CGI fuelled combat.

While there are peculiar powers they are underutilized, the movie instead focuses on the self-discovering journey of the lead, this is Tim Burton's X-Man, I mean Peculiar Children. The visuals are great, I especially enjoyed the climax fight which had Tim Burton written all over it.

I am really looking forward to a Sequel.
