Review of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016) by Or N — 15 Oct 2016
If you have not read the books, Tim Burton's interpretation is very fitting to the story. However, if you have read the books, the movie is a major let down. The characters are switched, important scenes are left out while others are made up.
It has entertainment value, but this interpretation deviates too much from the original - it is distracting, rather than surprising noticing everything the movie got wrong. If you have not read the books, don't.
Watch the movie, then read the books. I do beleive Tim Burton was th right person to do the movie though.
