Review of Millions (1937) by Serena B — 13 Apr 2008
Who'd have thunk that the same man who made 28 Days Later and Trainspotting would make an amazing film for kids? In a near fantasy version of England, the pound is day away from being converted to the Euro, and 300,000 pounds from a train robberty lands in little Saint-obsessed Damian's lap.
Damian wants to donate the money to charity, but his brother Anthony wants tot spend it. Director Danny Boyle has flawlessly captured the imagination and fantasy of a child, and his two young actors are fresh and poignant.
Watch this film like there's no tomorrow.
