Review of Miller's Crossing (1990) by Ken S — 15 Apr 2014
The Coen Brothers give us their take on the gangster film, with this great film about gangsters in the 20s and a man caught in the midst of a gang war. The Coens are two of the best filmmakers out there, and their take on this particular genre is about as good as their take on anything.
Pure entertainment...while still being smart, funny, well-shot, and extremely well-cast. They know how to make a film, and this is another film of theirs that I have enjoyed.
