If nothing else, I needed to see this, to be sure that Sean Penn's Oscar win was worthy. Absolutely is the answer. This is a beautifully made movie, about a fairly brave and incredible person, who's life is not necessarily known well to those outside of the homosexual community, or the city of San Francisco.
If you are homophobic, well you were never going to watch/like this movie anyway. Simply put, an excellent film.
