Review of Milk? (2012) by John B — 20 Dec 2013
This is a great biopic, with astonishing accuracy into Harvey Milk's life, and focuses on Milk's upbringing, his effect on The Castro and history everywhere. With amazing acting from Sean Penn, he portrays Milk as just an everyday person, but shows how extremely charismatic, friendly, selfless, playful, and intelligent he was.
He shows how far an ordinary man who is even rejected by society, unprotected by the law, and vulnerable to danger even by authorities itself can get, and how much he can affect history ahead of him. This film is very touching and should go down as one of the greatest LGBT films of all time.
