Review of Mildred Pierce (1945) by Jeremy W — 03 Aug 2007
One of the great film noirs. A scathing attack on the dark side of the idea of American upward mobility and family values. Director Michael Curtiz's adept handling of the entire supporting class is wonderful.
A great entertainment that has stood the test of time both stylistically and thematically.
