At times, the meoldramatic aspects cause serious harm to the film ( that irritating score). Luckily Joan Crawford and Ann Blyth gave wonderful performances that make us forget about such elements. An intriguing movie with great acting.
Crawford won an Oscar for this film. She deserved it.
